About This Picture

Photographed in the fading evening light, at about 11,000 feet, in the Patriarch Grove of bristlecone pines, in the White Mountains, with a Canon 1Ds camera and a Canon 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens, in August 2004. The exposure was 270 seconds at f/16.
